When I was 10 years old, my 5th grade class was assigned to write a short story that we would then read to our 1st grade buddies. Mine ended up 115 pages long (called The Pike of Shannara — a fan novel sequel to Terry Brooks' original Shannara series). And though that story has been long-lost to history, my love of writing fantasy stories continued.
Now I am a 5th grade teacher, and in addition to giving assignments to my students for their 1st grade buddy activities, I also write stories to my students. These include 5 plays for my Drama Club, as well as 3 perpetually in-progress novels for my students and my own children. And now it's time to stop the "perpetually in-progress" status of these novels. In 2022 and 2023, I will self-publish three young adult fantasy novels: Feb., 2023 -- Catch the Wind Aug, 2023 -- Dragon Music Feb., 2024 -- Children of Pandora |
